FAQs 3

I feel like I’m too old for clubs or learning a new hobbies. Why would I start to train in Ju Jutsu?

Why not? It promotes improvements in general fitness, flexibility and confidence. It also presents opportunities to meet new people and learn an effective self defence.  If you do the same thing every day, nothing changes.  Why not break the mould and see what you may be missing?

What age should I be?

There is no “right” age to be.  Ju Jutsu is for any age.  If you are in good health, how long you train for is entirely up to you.

Adults are classified as those 18 years and above.  However, we will consider students from 16 upwards. Drop us a line or pop in to see us.

Is there a juniors class?

No there is not currently a class for juniors. Generally Juniors are classified from 5-18 years, but currently we will consider students from 16 upwards. Drop us a line or pop in to see us. However, if there is sufficient interest we are willing to consider opening a juniors session (5/6 years upwards).

Does Ju Jutsu complement any other martial arts?

All martial arts compliment each other, but in our opinion it is better to have a good understanding of one before attempting to study another.

If you are studying another martial art and you wish to cross train, you should come along to see if our style suits you. You will be made welcome and we’d love to see you.
